I am a dedicated educator with over 25 years of experience in teaching and academic leadership. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Math Education with a minor in Music Education from Utah State University (1995), an ESL teaching endorsement (2007), a Master’s in Education from Argosy University (2010), and a French Language teaching endorsement (2011). My professional journey began in 1991-92 when I served an LDS mission in Montreal, Canada, fostering my passion for education and cultural exchange.
Since joining Freedom Preparatory Academy in 2008, I have taught a wide range of subjects, including French I and II, general music, and mathematics from 7th-grade math to Calculus. In addition to classroom teaching, I organized and directed four successful student and parent study-abroad trips to France (2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017). In 2015, I completed my Administrative Licensure and have since taken on leadership roles, including directing the school’s online program for two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, I serve as the Academic Dean at Freedom Preparatory Academy’s high school in Provo, Utah.
Beyond my work at Freedom, I have pursued opportunities in higher education. I taught online courses at BYU-Idaho from 2012 to 2020, including Math 108, Math 100L, and PC102, and served as a Teaching Group Leader for nine semesters. Additionally, I worked as an adjunct instructor in developmental math at Utah Valley University (2006–2020) and Argosy University (2009–2019).
My commitment to education is driven by a belief in lifelong learning and a dedication to student success in both academic and personal growth.
