Standard-based grading supports students in experiencing success by teaching them to think critically through its focus on clear and measurable learning outcomes. By defining specific standards related to critical thinking skills, students are given a clear roadmap for their intellectual growth. As students work to meet essential standards, students receive ongoing feedback, enabling them to understand their strengths and areas for improvement in critical thinking. Standard-based grading, therefore, empowers students to take charge of their learning, equipping them with the skills they need to succeed academically and in their future endeavors. We will continue to provide opportunities for students to connect socially and serve selflessly. We want to ensure academic success in each student as well as to help develop well-rounded individuals.
