Enrollment FAQ

  • Freedom Prep uses a lottery system to enroll new students for each upcoming year.
  • The lottery is held the first week of March each year.
  • To be considered in the lottery, applications must be submitted between Oct 1 and the end of February.
  • The number of available seats is based on the number of current students not returning.
  • Current student siblings receive priority, then those in the lottery.
  • Once a student has been enrolled at Freedom Prep they do not go through the lottery again, but may continue on through 12th grade graduation.
  • Applications received after the lottery has been run will be added at the bottom of the wait list.
  • Freedom Prep is not responsible for late, incomplete or missing emails.
  • When you click on the application form link, you will be directed to PowersSchool where you will make an Enrollment account.  This account will be used to do the Lottery application as well as the Registration if your student is accepted.
  • After the lottery is run you will be notified within 5 days. You will have 5 days to accept or decline the seat.
  • Each grade has a separate lottery. After the lottery is completed, in order to keep families together, if one sibling in a family gets in, their other siblings are moved up to the top of the waiting list of the grade they are wanting to enroll in.
  • Not getting a seat in the March lottery does not mean a seat will not become available in the future. During the spring and summer months, seats open up and the next person on the waiting list will be contacted.
