Dress Code

Dress Requirements

No item allowed that shows or alludes to obscene, violent, profane, illegal, or inappropriate material.

Repeated non-conformity to the established dress requirements will result in School Discipline.

  • Solid white, red, or navy-blue polo or button-down.
  • Shirts must have a collar and sleeves.
  • No embellishments larger than the size of a quarter.
  • Undershirts must be short-sleeve and solid white or grey.
  • Shirts should be tucked in.
  • Solid tan, navy or black.
  • No jeans, leggings, sweatpants, or athletic wear. Not excessively loose.
  • No cargo pockets, embellishments, holes, rips, frays, or tears.
  • Shorts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee.

  • Solid tan or navy-blue jumpers or school approved plaid jumpers with a white, red, or navy polo or button-down shirt underneath.
  • Solid red, tan, or navy-blue uniform dresses with sleeves. No neon.
  • Solid tan, navy blue, or school approved plaid skirts.
  • Not excessively tight or loose.
  • No cargo pockets, embellishments, holes, rips, frays, or tears.
  • Not shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
  • Solid white, red, or navy-blue sweaters, fleece jackets, cardigans, and blazers may be worn inside the school as long as the item does not have a hood.
  • Jackets in class must be approved solid color.
  • School approved shirt underneath.
  • School (FPA) hoodies ONLY. All hoods must be worn down inside building.
  • Students may wear non-uniform colored outerwear during recess (snow coats, raincoats, etc.), but will not be allowed to wear such outerwear inside the school.
  • No outerwear accessories may be worn inside the school (hats, scarves, gloves, etc.).
  • Black or brown shoes with matching or white soles (closed heel, closed toe).
  • Black or brown boots below the knee; no embellishments other than a single buckle.
  • No shearling boots (Ugg-style), snow boots, or rain boots are allowed inside, but may be worn outside during recess.
  • White or navy-blue tights. Navy, tan, black, white socks.
  • Students may wear white or navy-blue leggings underneath appropriate length skirts, jumpers, or dresses, but the student must also wear white or navy-blue socks, so feet are covered.
  • Any solid color shoe, closed toe, closed heel, no neon.
  • Solid colored socks, no neon.
  • Naturally occurring human hair colors only (blonde, brown, etc.).
  • Hair should be neat and styled. 
  • Eyes may not be covered by hair.
  • No extreme, bizarre, or distracting styles.
  • No personal smart devices used during school hours (i.e., smart watches).
  • No distracting or excessive jewelry or make-up.
  • Hair accessories must be school colors (white, red, or navy-blue) or black and must not be larger than 6 inches in any direction.

Tops Not Allowed

  • Sleeveless 
  • Holes, rips, tears, frayed 
  • Hoodies

Bottoms Not Allowed

  • Shorts more than 2” above the knee
  • Holes, rips, tears, frayed
  • Leggings (unless under approved bottoms)

Footwear Not Allowed

  • Open toe 
  • Open heel 
  • Sandals 
  • Shoes with holes

Outerwear Not Allowed

  • Non-school approved jackets 
  • Hoodies Coats 
  • Outerwear worn in class (hats, scarves, gloves, etc.)

Accessories Not Allowed

  • Outdoor scarves or hats 
  • Smart devices 
  • Distracting hair or make-up
